Algebra II Honors is a course designed for advanced, college-bound students.  This is a fast-paced and rigorous course designed to better prepare students for the advanced math courses. It is a continuation of Algebra I but in much greater depth and detail.  The emphasis is still on symbolism, functions and graphing, but the course has a unit in advanced probability. Linear and quadratic functions are studied in more depth, and polynomial, radical, exponential and logarithmic functions are introduced.

MTH341 - Business Mathematics with Algebra

Graduation Credit: Mathematics

1 Trimester

Prerequisites - Algebra I and Geometry or equivalent math courses

Open to Grades

11

12

NOTE: This course or an equivalent third year of math is REQUIRED for graduation.

Students apply algebra concepts to a variety of business and personal finance situations. Applications may include income, insurance, credit, loans, banking, taxation, stocks and bonds, and finance.
